A Barrel Mashup with Black Feather Whiskey and Squatters Craft Beers

At conception, beer and whiskey are very similar: the mash bills, process, and flavors of the two libations share a lot in common. So, when head brewer Jason Stock from Squatters pitched the idea of making a mashup of a cherry bock beer infused with the flavor notes of an old fashioned bourbon cocktail, our collective imaginations ran wild.
 
This week, Squatters Beers and Black Feather Whiskey are joining forces to create a series of barrel-aged beers and beer-barrel aged whiskeys. To kick off the partnership, there will be a party with music, a ceremonial presentation of the first barrels and, of course, drinks. California based singer, songwriter Victoria Bailey will be playing the Potting Shed to kick-off this hometown collaboration.
