Silas Nello, Oak Cliff and An Easy-Going Whiskey

Last week the eclectic and always friendly Spinster Records hosted a vinyl launch party for Silas Nello in Oak Cliff. This up-and-coming neighborhood has a killer view of downtown Dallas, and offers a variety of bars, bike shops, restaurants, and places to explore on a Friday afternoon.

Black Feather first met up with Silas at the Texas Electric Showcase in Austin earlier this year. His steady-eddy guitar and thumping percussions pull you in like a drum circle. For the listening party, Black Feather setup a make-shift bar with some easy-going whiskey. Silas Nello and his friends Wesley Geiger and Jenna Clark brought a jam-packed evening of soulful songs.
